This is not just a library.
It is the place where I return to myself.
When I came to Maribor, I had no fixed idea of home - only a longing for space, stillness, and light.
In this library, surrounded by books and silence, I began to rebuild not just a life, but an inner rhythm.
These photographs are part of an ongoing visual diary.
They are not about the space itself, but about how it holds me -
a soft architecture of thought, where I feel anchored, open, and quietly alive.
I work here, think, write, create… and build my new world.
This project is part of an art series called “Moj Maribor. Moj Planet” -
a series of reflections on how we create belonging through daily presence.

The agony of creation? Not at all. It’s a gentle, thoughtful process I truly enjoy.
A library is a sacred space ruled by silence, beauty, and inner strength.
Here, one can touch the eternal, the universal, the deeply human.
When was the last time you wrote a letter by hand? I find it deeply satisfying.
In a library, you learn not just to read, but to see between the lines - like living in many worlds at once.
We are all so different - and that is exactly what unites us. Together, we are part of a global culture.
